About Me

Welcome to my blog! My name is Debbie Delafosse and I’m from a small town in the unique heart of Cajun Country, Ville Platte, Louisiana.

To me, travel is like a tapestry of the senses. I enjoy experiencing the culture and cuisine of each place I visit and love to dabble in the languages of each country I visit. I have organized and led many group tours to Europe but now only travel with family and close friends. I have been fortunate to travel extensively and hope to share my journeys and my Cajun Culture with you.

On the other hand, I work full time as a Registered Nurse in ICU at our local hospital. I am a Real Estate Agent and once owned a Home Based Travel Agency. After a bout with Cancer, (I am a survivor!), I closed my Travel Agency and I only do Real Estate Referrals now. As always, my true passion is Travel! I hope my stories will bring you enjoyment, information, and will inspire you to travel and try the Recipes that I have enjoyed!
